What we do
The RCIA is a 1 year preparation program broken into a four-step process for welcoming adult non-Catholics (18 or over) into the Catholic Church, and also for adult Catholics still needing the sacraments of Baptsim, Eucharist and Confirmation. Step 1 is an informal period of inquiry and answering questions; in step 2 the Christian life is explored more formally in detail; step 3 leads directly to the reception of the sacraments during the Easter Vigil; and step 4 provides a guided introduction into the Christian/Catholic way of life.
What we do
This program is a modification of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults which has been adapted to meet the needs of children of catechetical age (7 years old through 12th Grade) who have not been baptized. Children and youth in this program will receive the sacraments of baptism, first communion and confirmation.
It is a 2 year preparation, they must register for their 1st year in the appropriate grade-level CCE classes (see tab to left). Unbaptized high-schoolers must enter the LifeTeen program (see tab to left).
Registartions starts as early as April or May and classes start in September of each year following the school year.
